This weekend, Prince William and Kate Middleton let their children play at the duchess’s Back to Nature Garden—and gave the public an intimate glimpse at their family life in the process. We, for the first time, saw Prince Louis walking. We saw Prince William making funny dad faces on the rope swing. We saw George give his “mummy’s” garden a ranking of 20 marks out of 10. And we also heard Prince William reveal his adorable term of endearment for his daughter, Charlotte.

In a video posted on the Kensington Palace Twitter account, it seems he calls her “mignonette.”

“Mignonette,” it sounds like he says while on the treehouse swing, “give me a push!”

Mignon, in French, translates to darling or cute. With the suffix of -ette, it can roughly mean “little darling,” or “cutie.”

Although the Internet also had an additional interpretation—that William said, “Have you been on here?” quite quickly.

It’s not the only nickname that the little royal may have. Reportedly, she’s also called “Lottie.” According to a fan who spoke to Middleton in March, the duchess referred to her daughter with the shortened moniker. (Although it’s not known if George has a nickname at home, a recent report did suggest that his friends call him “P.G.”—short for Prince George.)

And at 4 years old, it seems Charlotte, Lottie, or Mignonette already has quite the personality. “Ooh la la!” she was heard saying playing in the garden. When asked if she wants to help George with something, she simply replies “No.”

After all, what do you expect from a child who has already mastered the art of the royal wave?
