It's been nearly 20 years since the release of Avril Lavigne's “Sk8er Boi,” but the song has aged the way a classic bop is meant to—that is to say, iconically well. The same can be said of Lavigne herself. The pop star shared her first-ever TikTok on Monday, the short video featuring the aforementioned jam, Tony Hawk, and an early-2000s beauty look that felt right on time for the era's recent revival.

The TikTok kicked off with Lavigne in her trademark tie and tank top, her original pin-straight brunette switched for waist-grazing peroxide lengths styled in long layers around her face. A generous rim of smoked black liner and a coordinated onyx manicure paired with her forearm tattoos for appropriately punkish appeal, while her luminous skin offered evidence of years spent taking care of her complexion.

Despite living with Lyme Disease, a diagnosis which she received in 2014, it seems that Lavigne has tapped into a fountain of youth of sorts—she's looking more joyous and radiant than ever.
