Emily Ratajkowski is famous her bombshell style, no matter what time of year it may be. So it should come as no surprise, then, that with the arrival of spring (and shorter hemlines, by extension) she would channel one of the original screen sirens: Brigitte Bardot. Earlier today in Brentwood, California, she wore a breezy summer frock in the French film star’s signature print. Lest one forget, Bardot famously wore a ruffled gingham bikini in St.-Tropez, before sporting that iconic pink checkered dress for her 1959 wedding.
For her part, Ratajkowski followed suit in a seasonal look that was at once sexy and sweet. Her Reformation sundress featured short princess sleeves and a square neckline that recalled the silhouette of Bardot’s wedding dress, while its micro length summoned a Swinging ’60s feel. A Maison Margiela red patent leather shoulder bag lent extra polish, and simple Grecian sandals by K.Jacques grounded the look. The finishing touch? Taylor Morris round sunglasses and oversize hoops, a pair of larger-than-life accessories that brought her bombshell ensemble full circle. Bardot would no doubt approve.
