Gigi Hadid loves nothing more than millennial pink, as she’s so consistently demonstrated in everything from rose-colored flared trousers to trench coats. That said, she’s yet to go full head-to-toe on the look—until now. When the supermodel was seen leaving her apartment this evening in New York, she channeled a modern-day Barbie in pink leather. The outfit felt all the more fitting given the recent release of Next Gen Ken, a collection of well-dressed Ken dolls of varying body types, skin tones, and hairstyles. It wasn’t too long ago that Hadid herself was immortalized in doll form: Mattel released her own mini-me last fall.
Embellished with grommets and trimmed with fringe, Hadid’s Kreist leather jacket and ’70s flares were certainly not for minimalists, but would no doubt fly in Barbie’s colorful world, one of convertible cars and Dreamhouse real estate. She kept the palette going with a matching pastel camisole and towering Aquazzura platform heels that were dotted with pearls. All that was missing was Ken doll arm candy, though her real-life love, Zayn Malik, would surely fit the bill.
