All eyes may have been on Novak Djokovic and Kevin Anderson during the men’s single final at Wimbledon yesterday, but that didn’t stop the star-studded guests at the All England Club from wearing their Sunday best. After turning heads a day earlier in a chic three-piece suit during the Serena Williams vs. Angelique Kerber match, Emma Watson arrived wearing yet another refined vintage look—a tan Ralph Lauren collection shirtdress that offered a twist on the traditional.

Cinched at the waist with one of the designer’s brown belts and worn with an Olympia le Tan book clutch mimicking the French vocabulary text Corbeille de Mots, Watson’s dress looked effortless and elegant. Though Watson wore the straw fedora and white heels that have become standard attire at tennis matches, the overall effect was casual and modern. With her hair and makeup kept natural and the tiniest diamond necklace completing the look, she gave the day its style win as she watched Djokovic take home the championship.

But there was more to Watson's Wimbledon outfits than just the way they looked: By choosing vintage rather than fresh-off-the-runway ensembles for both her appearances, she was sending a message about environmentally conscious dressing, an ethos she's advocated throughout her career. All in all, it was an ace move.
