While most kids his age are obsessed with Frozen or Moana, it seems Prince George prefers his movies vintage.

Well, vintage for a 4-year-old, anyway. Prince William revealed during a recent royal appearance—yes, the one where Kate Middleton danced with a bear—that one of his son’s favorite movies is the ’90s Disney classic The Lion King.

It all started when a small boy asked William what Prince George’s favorite show was. “He quite likes The Lion King—he’s watched that a few times,” William said. (We’re going to skip over the fact that William named a movie, not a show here. It’s still adorable and we need joy where we can get it.)

Prince George’s other favorites? “He has watched some Lego movies as well . . . trying to keep him off the television is hard work!” William said.

Refined palate, we must say! The Lion King is a pinnacle work of the Disney renaissance (yes, this is a real thing, and this writer may or may not have written an academic paper on it. And if this writer did, she got an A. Hypothetically speaking). And as for The Lego Movie? Well, it’s just awesome.

It really shouldn’t be such a surprise. What’s the heir to the British throne going to enjoy, the 10-percent-on-Rotten-Tomatoes The Emoji Movie? Oh, please.
