Victoria Beckham Has a New Way to Hold a Bag

Victoria Beckham arrived earlier today at Paris's Gare du Nord station sporting pieces from her eponymous fashion label, as usual. And while her elegant layered mustard silk shirtdress, with its deconstructed-meets-'70s feel, certainly turned heads, another aspect of her ensemble was equally interesting: the way she carried her olive Half Moon satchel cradled in her arm instead of slung over the shoulder by its strap.

As it turns out, Beckham has often explored new techniques to tote a tote. The designer has gripped the bases of bags with her hands through the handles, slipped sparkling clutches into her pocket, and at her recent Fall 2018 show, sent models down the runway carrying enormous felt totes from only one strap, creating a new, super-slouchy shape. For anyone other than Beckham, today's move might not be the most practical for train travel—someone else would have presumably been taking care of her luggage, if she had any—but it could make for a fresh party styling trick.
