Kate Middleton Dancing With Paddington Bear Is Nothing Short of Delightful

This morning, Kate Middleton made her second public appearance since announcing she’s pregnant with her third child—and a surprise one at that: Not many people expected the duchess, who is still suffering from severe morning sickness, to be seen so soon after the World Mental Health Day reception at Buckingham Palace.

But she must be feeling better, as she joined Prince William and Prince Harry at a kids’ charity event at Paddington Station. While every Kate sighting is a treat, this one was especially so, because Kate danced—yes, danced—with Paddington Bear, the beloved children’s book character. (Paddington 2 comes out November 10 in the U.K.) She got into it, too: She swayed! She smiled! She twirled!

Lucky for us, there’s not just photo evidence. Simon Perry, royal correspondent for People magazine, also caught it all on video:

While a mere mortal may have looked goofy dancing with a giant bear, Kate did so with an effortless grace and charm (if we didn’t love her so much, we’d hate her). Wearing a peach Orla Kiely dress, she also debuted a new shorter hairstyle, which was curled into her signature waves.

The royals hung out with Hugh Bonneville, the star of Paddington 2, and producer David Heyman before waving off a vintage train as it departed from the station.

Kate, thanks for making Monday morning a little more bearable.
