Last night, the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles honored the best of sports. The ceremony honored top athletes with various accolades, including U.S. women’s soccer player Alex Morgan, who won the Best Female Athlete award. On hand as a presenter for the evening was actress Elle Fanning, who gave the best college athlete award to Zion Williamson; her walk down the red carpet shortly before the show, however, momentarily stole the spotlight.

Fanning shined on the step and repeat—quite literally—in a dazzling gown by Celine, designed by Hedi Slimane. The long dress had a draped, asymmetrical shape with a defined waist, and was entirely covered in glimmering silver sequins. It’s a glamorous style that could easily be seen on Oscars night; to make it feel a tad more fresh and youthful, though, Fanning did not carry the traditional clutch and wore it with a few tasteful rings that added even more shine to the ensemble. Consider it clear proof that sometimes less is way more—though it helps when your dress also moonlights as a disco ball.
