Over the past year, Dua Lipa has been on a winning style streak. The doe-eyed British pop star is gearing up for the April release of her sophomore album, Future Nostalgia, with fashion that’s captivating and current, meshing together the best of both big labels and emerging designers. The people love her. The paparazzi are obsessed with her. (And here at Vogue, we can’t stop listening to her latest hit, “Physical.”)
So for our newest fall 2020 collections video—directed by Bardia Zeinali and styled by Jorden Bickham—we wanted to show just how infatuated with her style we really are. The setting is that of a quintessential ’90s sitcom, telling the story of a day in the life of a very fashion-forward singer. Think big house, floral couch, and a very attentive butler. We also see Lipa try on the cream of the crop from New York Fashion Week’s hottest labels—in the mix is some deliciously flamboyant Marc Jacobs, a little glittery Tom Ford, and a sharp, downtown-ready piece by Eckhaus Latta. But the biggest issue for the girl who has it all? What to wear for dinner. Stars, they’re just like us.
Dive into the array of glamorous looks, below.
From downtown to uptown, Lipa’s highlighter yellow Eckhaus Latta skirtsuit and harlequin-print jacket by Oscar de la Renta make for an opulent look—but they still match the floor tiles.
It’s not unusual to be loved by anyone, but Lipa found the perfect dinner-date dress right here in her kitchen: a fuchsia turtleneck and skirt by Tom Ford.
Area’s heart-shaped panniers are high impact. They’re also impacting Lipa’s squeeze down the narrow hallway of her apartment.
Volume, volume, volume! Lipa wears a cow-print Michael Kors jacket while pressing her larger-than-life Christopher John Rogers gown. So large that her tumble down the stairs is helpfully cushioned.
Sweet dreams are made of a rose-red glinting dress and heart-embellished opera gloves by Rodarte.
For the grand finale, Lipa slips into a shiny coral gown by Marc Jacobs—living in her world has never looked so good.
