When it comes to runway cameos, few can top Marc Jacobs. The designer always has a surprise up his sleeve for New York Fashion Week and over the years, he’s pulled out supermodel returns, celebrity debuts, not to mention a sense of excitement. And tonight at his fall 2020 show, Jacobs may just have outdone himself. Alongside runway regulars such as Bella Hadid and Liya Kebede, there was a very special guest: Miley Cyrus.

Cyrus has been a longtime favorite of Jacobs and frequent collaborator. The star of the brand’s spring 2014 campaign, she posed for David Sims like a pro. Last year, the pair collaborated on a special hoodie with proceeds benefiting Cyrus’s Happy Hippie Foundation with all proceeds going to Planned Parenthood.

Even still, her presence at the show was an unexpected delight. Clad in a crop top and black trousers and lugging a massive zebra-print coat behind her, Cyrus brought rock star energy to the proceedings. Those who weren’t paying attention might have mistaken her for just another It model, but her legions of fans know she’s just being Miley.
