Tyra Banks and Ariana Grande Have a Mutual Lovefest on Twitter

Tyra Banks, she of the newly announced Modelland endeavor, and petite chanteuse Ariana Grande (who has been in the news quite a bit herself recently, but also always) engaged in a bit of a love-in on Twitter Wednesday evening, which was a welcome change from what usually happens on Twitter, namely political terror and backbiting. It all started innocently enough, with Banks enthusing over one of Grande’s stills from her December 2018 Billboard Woman of the Year cover shoot, as if she was one of the contestants she used to judge on her modeling reality show, America’s Next Top Model:

Grande took the bait, as any millennial reared on The CW and VH1 reruns might, and quickly followed up, tweeting, “hi i love u. i always wondered what you’d do w my hair on the makeover episodes. i’m scared to know. but also. tell me. please. i won’t do it. but please tell me. love u.” Banks countered with a quick battery of enthusiastic praise for Grande’s height, personal branding prowess, and, yes, that infamous ponytail:

“yoooo the greatest tyra mail of all time. loooove you so. and all that u do !” Grande wrote back, in proof that, yes, sometimes the Internet is a nice and happy place, even for women. What a pony. What a “tail,” indeed.
