Met Gala 2018 Live Blog: The Latest Updates From the Red Carpet

It’s the first Monday in May, and that means the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gala is tonight. Hosted by Rihanna, Amal Clooney, Donatella Versace, Anna Wintour, and Stephen and Christine Schwarzman, the gala is expected to draw crowds of fashion and art lovers to the Met in their most reverent ensembles. Guests will be expected to dress in their “Sunday best” to properly celebrate the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” curated by Andrew Bolton. The exhibition itself opens to the public on Thursday, May 10, making tonight’s gala something of a sneak peek at the fantastical papal and contemporary designer garments on view. With the red carpet over, follow along for the rest of the night on Vogue’s social channels.
