The moment the world has been waiting for is here and just as spectacular as anything Disney could dream up. Last night in London, Emma Watson unleashed her inner Belle at the launch event for the forthcoming film, Beauty and the Beast. Watson was dressed like her on-screen alter-ego in Emilia Wickstead’s gray frock with sustainable roots. The custom piece was made with Eco Age, Livia Firth’s fashion-forward, environmentally conscious company, and the outfit elevated Watson from posh princess to red carpet queen.

This latest look is a departure for Watson who has been sending out a different kind of princess vibe in Dior and Louis Vuitton. The off-the-shoulder silhouette, a favorite of real-life royal Kate Middleton, was a refreshing alternative to traditional strapless ensembles. The column silhouette, meanwhile, was a nice foil for the over-the-top train. Mimicking the effect of Princess Diana’s seemingly never-ending wedding dress train for her wedding to Prince Charles, Watson owned the grandiose nature of her ensemble with poise and polish. As a Disney princess should.
