Inspiration often comes from unexpected places. For Charlize Theron, the catalyst behind her sparkling center part at the 2020 SAG Awards was, in a spectacular turn of events, her grown-out roots. During a pre-show interview, the Bombshell actress explained that she didn't have time to visit the hair salon to touch-up her platinum blonde, so a friend suggested that she simply "throw a Tiffany [& Co.] bracelet up there!" And that's exactly what she did.

After Theron's hairstylist Adir Abergel gave her a polished, neatly-parted pixie—her blonde lengths slicked close to the head with a Dyson Hair Dryer, as well as prepped and set with Virtue's new Healing Oil for a high-shine finish—he braided a tiny plait along the center part and used clear thread to sew the diamond accessory into it. The shimmering strand ran neatly along the part and dropped down just slightly below her hairline, offering a streamlined alternative to more ornamental hair jewelry.

"Short hair can sometimes be more challenging to change up," explains Abergel. "This was a powerful touch." So whether you've got a fresh crop for 2020, or you're just looking for a way to repurpose an old diamond tennis bracelet, this may be just the trick.
