Amal and George Clooney have huge news to share—the couple are expecting twins! Today, word broke that the international human rights lawyer is pregnant for the first time. The couple memorably married in Venice, Italy, in September 2014. Amal wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown to the ceremony, as well as a coterie of other chic ensembles throughout the wedding weekend. Since then, whether on the streets of New York or walking the red carpet, Mrs. Clooney has time and time again demonstrated her sartorial skills. But more importantly, Amal and George have continued to champion the causes they care most about. Notably, last fall, Amal Clooney appeared at the U.N. in New York with her client Nadia Murad, a Yazidi woman who was enslaved by ISIS, and is now suing her former captives.
Considering George and Amal’s strong values, there is no doubt that they will make wonderful parents to their future children. And if the two youngest Clooneys are in need of playmates anytime soon? Well, perhaps they can befriend Beyoncé and Jay Z’s upcoming bundles of joy.
