In 2020, shopping more consciously is at the top of everyone’s mind, and one easy way to do so is to buy vintage. Fortunately, vintage shopping has never been easier to do (from the comfort of your own home too) thanks to a plethora of secondhand shops accessible through a quick tap on your phone. Sites such as The RealReal, Fashionphile, and Vestiaire Collective are changing the way we shop secondhand—and, even better, for a fraction of the price.

Do you still think about that one It item of the past you missed out on? Do you stalk Dries trousers online like Vogue’s Accessories Director Willow Lindley? Or are you simply in need of a wardrobe refresh? Thankfully, your most obsessed-over fashion items no longer have to stay in the past, but don’t wait too long to buy. If you blink, you may never see them again.

Ahead, 13 Vogue editors share their favorite vintage picks of the week to shop now—before they sell out.

I’ve got boxes full of stilettos in my closet but they just feel wrong these days. These evening mules from The Row are a winning (and easy on the feet!) alternative.

I use The RealReal to constantly stalk printed Dries pants I missed out on from seasons past.

I recently repurchased these epic old Celine heels. A funny story: One of my good friends (who happens to be a designer) and I were at a party. She was wearing awfully uncomfortable stilettos. Being a good friend, I conceded and let her swap shoes with me for part of the night. Naturally, I forgot and never took them back. These don’t look comfortable, but they are truly some of the best heels I’ve ever worn. She claims she “lost” the original pair! I was so happy to see these pop up on The RealReal again.

I have recently become familiar with Fashionphile, and their selection of practically brand new bags is incredible. You can snag styles that are still in stores at a fraction of the price or use it to discover vintage gems like nylon Pradas or Fendi zucca logo shoulder bags. Currently, I am eyeing this previously owned woven tote from Bottega Veneta.

I recently bought an Elsa Peretti snake ring from an auction and have now been scouring resale sites for more secondhand jewelry treasures. If I had unlimited funds (or RealReal credit!), I’d snap up this vintage Tiffany’s tiger’s eye piece and scarab link bracelet.

I am a silk scarf fanatic. Though seemingly simple, scarves have the ability to shapeshift to fit the needs of any given look. From belts and neck ties to bandeau tops and skirts, they can sub in for a great myriad of garment categories. Hence, I am of the mind that one can never (ever!) have too many. This vintage number from Gucci is a winner for its size (large enough to tie into a sarong), its multi-seasonal color palette, and, of course, its recent markdown on The RealReal!

From chocolate to beige, everyone is dressing up in head-to-toe brown hues. I came across this vintage Commes Des Garçons gem in my hunt for the best brown pieces to wear right now, and it got me eager to start shopping for spring.

I have been in a big bag mood lately, and since men wearing purses is a thing now, I’m eyeing a vintage Louis Vuitton pochette. It’s discreet enough to sling over the shoulder, and I like the streamlined shape. I also want a smaller bag like this because I tend to carry too much around with me—trying to streamline things in 2020!

My list of obsessions on The RealReal is 42 pages long—so there’s a lot of vintage shopping I plan to, and need to, do. Unfortunately, readers, I can’t share all my secrets online, so I will share a piece I adore but know is not going to work for me: these incredible Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga trousers. I do not wear khaki or beige myself, but the shape of these pants, from the resort 2012 collection, is one of Ghesquière’s best. And they are only $125. Please, someone, buy them! (And send me a pic.)

I remember going to the Celine store in Soho with the specific intention of buying this bag, but alas, I was also preparing to move into a new apartment at the same time, so I decided to let it go. Of course, not too long afterwards, Phoebe Philo left Celine and the bag could no longer be mine. But now I’m thinking, is this my second chance?

What’s better than a 1950s vintage dress in a pink floral taffeta? One that comes with its own mohair coat with matching lining! I would be very much in my element sporting this around Manhattan. I’m unfamiliar with the label Bob Meyer (most of my vintage bears labels from defunct regional department stores) but he sure knew how to make a dress.

Thanks to a pretty dreary February, my mind is in full-on-escapism mode—and it’s showing in my latest fashion purchases. My current obsession? Browsing for Dolce & Gabanna sun dresses on The RealReal, the wearable epitome of la dolce vita. Am I going to the Amalfi Coast anytime soon? Nope! But am I going to start dressing like I’m going to the Amalfi Coast soon? Absolutely! (Also, you’re welcome. I picked one that’s stunning and on sale.)
