Between Meghan Markle’s Suits filming schedule and Prince Harry’s royal commitments, the pair hasn’t seen each other in quite some time—the last time they appeared in public together was at Pippa Middleton’s wedding back in May. But it looks like the old saying is true: Absence does make the heart grow founder. As E! News reports, the prince made a secret trip to Toronto to visit Markle for a quick weekend jaunt before heading off to Liwonde National Park in Malawi.
And what did the lovebirds do? Dine at one of Toronto’s finest restaurants, perhaps? Hobnob with the city’s billionaire jet set? Nope. They stayed at home.
According to the source, Meghan and Harry spent the weekend “cooking meals together and eating outside in the garden a lot. It’s Meghan's favorite ‘room’ in the house. She calls it a room because it’s the perfect patio space.”
Although it’s mentioned that they visited a few ”favorite spots” in Toronto, they all seem to be as low-key as the actress’s patio: A source says a trip highlight was a visit to “Meghan’s friends’ home, who are now Harry’s friends, too.”
But, if the rumors are true, Meghan and Harry may not be staying under the radar for long. Reports say Meghan is actively pondering a move to the U.K. “They speak about the future a lot, whether it’s getting each other’s take on future career plans or where they’ll be as a couple,” a source told E! “They talk about living in London—Meghan really sees herself moving, and he really wants that."
