Unless you’re a fashion obsessive, then you probably failed to notice what Céline Dion was wearing on Carpool Karaoke last night. True to form, the singer did the most on James Corden’s cheeky, traveling music show, this time in Las Vegas. Highlights from her hilarious appearance include the following: Dion belting out “Baby Shark” while pounding on her chest; Dion responding to Corden’s questions with well-known tunes such as “I’m So Excited” by The Pointer Sisters; Dion reenacting the famous “King of The World” moment from Titanic on the Bellagio fountain. Look beyond the fun and games though, and you will realize that there was some major fashion happening here: a glittery pussy bow blouse and metallic and menswear-inspired suit straight off Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2019 runway to be precise.
The fact that Dion would wear a fabulous outfit that has yet to hit stores, comes as no surprise either: no matter where she turns up, the singer is always decked out in the latest and greatest from the world’s top designers. She lives and breathes fashion drama—something which is abundantly clear from her turn on Carpool, too . When Corden asks Dion how many shoes she owns, she casually responds, “3,000, maybe 5,000, I don’t know.” “I’ve heard it’s 10,000,” Corden replies. Which begs the question: Where exactly does Dion keep all these shoes? “I have a place in Las Vegas... let’s call it a warehouse.” Storage solutions fit for a pop icon, naturally.
