Cindy Crawford may be a supermodel of epic proportions, but the beauty mogul and mother of two’s morning routine typically hinges on “getting out the door as fast as I can,” she admits. And fortunately for fellow women with no time to spare, the 53-year-old American icon has many lessons to impart, with an ageless beauty regimen that can be executed in under 10 minutes.

“I wear way less makeup,” explains Crawford of embracing a more natural look over time. “[And] that means that taking care of your skin is more important.” After washing her face, she supercharges her skin with her Meaningful Beauty Youth Activating Melon Serum before unveiling one of her best-kept de-puffing secrets, which she learned from a makeup artist on the job. Chilling a duo of Golden Ice Globes massage tools inside a glass of ice water, she gives herself a cooling eye massage to counteract bags and darkness. And once her SPF-infused moisturizer is layered on, her complexion is ready to be artfully enhanced.

“When I started modeling I knew zero about makeup and skin care,” says Crawford. “My very first modeling job [was] do your own makeup. I went and bought a foundation and some mascara. [The shoot] was with Iman and Dianne deWitt. And these divas were painting themselves. And I remember standing in the mirror kind of trying to mimic what they’re doing.” A quick study, Crawford has since mastered the art of what she calls the “basic face,” which yields maximum results with minimum effort. “You want to have your simple routine [so that] you know you’re going to feel good in case you run into that person you used to go to high school with,” she laughs. “Sometimes it’s just those little things, like an eyebrow or mascara. They can just finish a look.” Blending By Terry Light-Expert Click Brush Foundation all over, she then uses NARS Stick Concealer for extra coverage on hyperpigmentation. “As I get older, I’m not a big fan of [powder] because it tends to settle in fine lines and wrinkles,” she says, adding that all she needs is a whisper-light veil of Chanel Healthy Glow powder to set everything in.

While brushing through and filling in her thick arches with Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil, Crawford makes it known she’s eternally relieved that she didn’t embrace the skinny ’90s brows to the point of no return. “Thank god I did not over-tweeze my brows when I was young because I still have pretty good brows,” she says. “I said to Kaia, ‘Don’t over-tweeze your eyebrows, you will regret it later!’ Fortunately, that bushier look is in, so she hasn’t been tempted.” To further enhance her brunette gaze, she uses an earthy brown shade from the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow Palette to contour her sockets. “This is a little old-school,” she explains. “I like a little bit of a crease . . . to give me a bit of depth so my lid doesn’t look like it’s dropping down.” Finishing off the eyes with a few coats of Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara, she then sculpts her cheekbones with swipes of Josie Maran Argan Oil Color Stick on the apples. “Another transition that I’ve made as I’ve gotten older is I want a creamy [finish] more than dry,” she explains. Also in favor of a saturated pout, Crawford prefers a muted wash of glossy pink lipstick.

“[Makeup artist] Hung Vanngo teases me, ‘You're still a ‘90s girl.’” she says, taking down her voluminous brunette mane and signing off in true cover girl style. Once a bombshell, always a bombshell.
