Who could forget the bubblegum pink version she wore in her “I’m Real” music video? The haute sweatsuit has undergone a resurgence as of late, turning up on the likes of Kim Kardashian West and also Kendall Jenner. But while West and Jenner both styled theirs with stilettos, there’s something to be said for those who can take a sporty staple and make it look sleek without the help of a high heel. Such was the case with Lopez, who stepped out over the weekend wearing the traditional tracksuit while shopping on New York’s Madison Avenue.
The trick to Lopez’s mom-off-duty style all comes down to what she paired it with. Her athletic separates by Olivia von Halle featured an eye-catching lime green stripe down the arm and leg, and Lopez smartly matched the detail to a pair of Nike tennis shoes in the same shade. Her mirrored aviator sunglasses also tied in nicely with the pop of color, and managed to move the casual look into new directional territory while still staying true to her signature J. Lo roots.
