While New York’s unseasonably wet and windy May weather would normally call for a 10-second top knot and frizz-fighting cap, leave it to Jessica Alba to give our messy buns a run for their money. Stepping out in Manhattan today for an appearance on Good Morning America, Alba sported a head full of 70s-inspired disco curls that acted as the ultimate response to humidity.

Embracing the drizzle outside, the Honest Beauty founder enlisted the help of a good old curling iron and a spritz of strong hold hairspray, courtesy of hair expert Jennifer Yepez. Makeup artist Daniel Martin gave the actress a lit-from-within glow worthy of a summer day, likely finishing the face off with a bit of setting spray.

This morning's flawless curls hardly come as a surprise, considering Alba has some of the best lengths in Hollywood. But for the rest of us, her high volume waves are an inspired rainy day solution until the sun comes out.
