Stylish stars have been embracing winter by updating the season’s wardrobe staples: think great investment coats, as worn by Margot Robbie, and plenty of snow-ready boots. For the latter category, trendsetters such as Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner have defied typical snowshoes in favor of trendier styles, such as combat boots. Now, Katie Holmes is making the case for fully committing to a popular footwear choice come snowfall time: shearling-lined boots. And helpfully, she also showed how to dress them up for the city streets.
For her outing in New York City earlier today, Holmes wore Chloé x Sorel suede boots with leather trimming and a shearling lining. (The buzzy, and a little unexpected, collaboration is now sold out at most retailers.) She elevated the footwear with a polished outfit consisting of a blush pink topcoat with matching scarf, sweater, and classic jeans. Meanwhile, finishing touches, such as large black sunglasses and a structured leather tote, gave it a chic, casual feel—winter-appropriate, but refined enough for a day out in the Big Apple, too.
