Case in point: When Fanning arrived in Cannes on Tuesday, she wore a prim blouse and embellished cat-eye sunglasses by Miu Miu. As a face of the Italian fashion brand, it’s no surprise that Fanning would have plenty of Miuccia Prada’s designs stowed in her suitcase, including the ladylike look she slipped into a few hours later.
In town to promote her new film, The Beguiled, Fanning opted for a kicky cap-sleeved frock covered in an abstract micro print. The smocked fit-and-flare silhouette flattered her frame, while its mock neck offset the flouncy hem. Smartly, Fanning styled the piece with sky-high Miu Miu platforms. The statement sandals alone pushed her bright blue sundress into bold new territory, letting the neon pink sunglasses feel like the cherry on top.
