See Our Favorite Spring 2017 Paris Collections Star in the Most Glamorous Dance Party, Ever!

This Is Paris!

Nineteen shockingly gorgeous, wildly directional collections we love the most for Spring 2017 from the city we’ll love forever . . .

Jaw-dropping and wallet whopping, the Spring 2017 Paris collections were a joyous celebration of all that makes fashion great: extraordinary craft, surprising proportions, and that canny mix of the timeless and the timely that causes everything basic to be anything but. The big news? Soft tailoring, saturated color, unitards, flat shoes, a nod to the ’80s, and a wink to the digital future—exuberant clothes meant to move for next-gen women on the move. On October 5, the final day of fashion month, Vogue.com Fashion Editor Jorden Bickham decided to set these clothes loose on the streets of Paris. She grabbed Adwoa Aboah and a crew of model pals straight from the runways, gathered a bunch of Parisian dancers, turned up the volume on Les Rita Mitsouko’s “Marcia Baila,” and let the jerseys fall where they may. The result was the most glamorous dance party in years.

And Paris deserves this dance party. After all, there is the Paris of myth, memory, and memorabilia: the Eiffel Tower, the Mona Lisa, the Arc de Triomphe, the Ritz (Yahoo! It’s back!). And there is the Paris that has dominated the news (and our hearts) this past year. But there is also the Paris that we love: vibrant, diverse, multilingual, resilient, and helplessly chic. So here, from the avenues and places of the 19th, 18th, 11th, and 9th Arrondissements, is our love letter to Paris. See below . . . and step up!
