Buzz has been building for Quentin Tarantino’s ninth feature film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood—and today its official teaser trailer was finally released. Coming to theaters in July, the new movie, set in 1969, stars Leonardo DiCaprio (as a faded Western star) and Brad Pitt (as his longtime stunt double) as they navigate a Hollywood industry that is ruthlessly changing before them. Meanwhile, Margot Robbie looks hauntingly like Sharon Tate, the actress who was murdered by famed serial killer Charles Manson and whose parallel storyline will depict the last moments of Hollywood’s golden age in the ’60s.

While the new trailer offers few details about the film’s plot (other than what we know from history), it does include Tarantino’s highly stylized aesthetic. The retro costume design is also perhaps its best feature. The brainchild of Arianne Phillips, who has worked on films like Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals and costumed many of Madonna’s global tours, the film’s groovy fashion takes center stage. One can’t help but take in the visual feast: In the trailer, we see DiCaprio slip on a yellow Hawaiian shirt and a cool leather trench in chocolate brown—a ’70s staple that’s currently a hit with many It girls—while Pitt’s Canadian tuxedo (double denim) is an irresistible combo. On Robbie, a more mod approach was taken: She wears a striped ringer tee and a keyhole-cutout dress, among other ’60s and ’70s staples.

A few days before today’s trailer dropped, we got a full-length look at some of the cast’s other looks. The movie posters show Pitt and DiCaprio in full sleazy-chic costume, while Robbie’s mid-calf-boots-and-miniskirt pairing is definitely a ’60s throwback worth revisiting. Until we can see the full movie this summer, a taste of these greatest fashion hits from past decades will hold us over.
