In Taylor Swift's new music video for "Delicate," a magic paper renders the mega-watt star invisible. What does she do with this new-found anonymity? She dances through downtown Los Angeles—in a fancy hotel (which some say plays a striking similarity to Margaret Qualley's Kenzo Perfume ad), in a metro station, and in front of a "dive bar on the East Side."

Millennium Biltmore Hotel

Before the music video dropped, director Joseph Kahn told E News! “It’s going to be unexpected and it’s going to be grand." He meant that last part literally, as most of the video was shot at the luxurious Millennium Biltmore Hotel. Built in 1923, the Beaux-Arts building has a long and storied history—it was an early home to the Academy Awards, the site of President Kennedy's Democratic Nomination acceptance speech, and where the Beatles stayed during their first U.S. tour. Swift is seen dancing in its lobby, and even on its reception desk.

According to People, the metro station Swift runs through (without shoes, no less) is this Downtown Los Angeles hub. Talk about swapping glamour for grit.

Golden Gopher

Like the Millennium Biltmore, the Golden Gopher has quite the history. It was founded in 1905 by President Teddy Roosevelt and managed to stay open through prohibition by saying it sold "medicinal bitters." After a period of closure, the bar reopened in 2004, and is described as a “cool hideaway among the lofts of Downtown," by Zagat.

Los Angeles Theatre

At one point, Swift glides through an empty ballroom, which, in reality, is part of the Los Angeles Theatre. But the real show-stopper? The landmark's ladies room—easily distinguishable thanks to its gilded, round mirror-filled interior. It's in this old-world room where Swift turns invisible.

Joe’s Deli

Perhaps the biggest mystery of Swift's music video is "Joe's Deli." Although there are a few similarly named restaurants in Los Angeles, none seem to bear the old school sign see in the video. Instead, some think it was created for the video as maybe a nod to Swift's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, or perhaps the same-name video director.
