Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend often make a coordinated splash on the red carpet (and courtside), but last night, after a dinner with Legend at Eric Ripert’s New York City institution Le Bernadin, Teigen took couples’-night-out glamour to the unlikeliest of places: the supermarket.
Teigen’s lace-trimmed LBD and statement accessories represented a tried-and-true formula for the Lip Synch Battle host, who regularly offsets illusion dressing with powerful extras, as in the Saint Laurent lace-and-mesh minidress and Maxior chandelier earrings she donned for post-Met Gala partying. Last night’s strappy, barely-there sandals gave her long-sleeved dress a dose of sex appeal, but it was her sculptural drop earrings that added the Midas touch. A ladylike M2Malletier pochette completed the outfit with subdued polish—and enough space for late-night treats.
