Who says you need to wear heels during a big event? At tonight’s 2018 SAG Awards, Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown stepped out in a look that challenged traditional red carpet rules. Sporting pair of crisp white Converse All-Stars with her sequin covered Calvin Klein by Appointment dress, Brown provided a youthful alternative to the traditional big gowns and stilettos combo. Keeping her palette pastel, she accessorized with a series of layered rings from Repossi that kept the look overall age-appropriate and refreshing.
Pairing sneakers with dresses isn’t a new idea, but Brown and her stylist, Thomas Carter Phillips, have been smart about keeping things interesting. With its lengthy train and head-to-toe sparkles, her Calvin Klein dress was fittingly glamorous, but the addition of playful elements—like her ribbon tied buns and the Chucks—made the look one of the evening’s standouts.
