Dakota Johnson is back in New York to promote her new campaign for lingerie brand Intimissimi and taking advantage of all the city has to offer. Yesterday, she was spotted on the street dressed in one of her trademark SoCal looks which included a pair of jeans with a surprisingly fashion-forward twist.
The staggered hemline style first showed up on the Vetements runway in 2015. Since then celebrities such as Selena Gomez have jumped on the trend. What set Johnson’s pair by Girlfriend apart was its distressed hem and faded blue finish. The low-key vintage effect was complemented by equally throwback-inspired pieces: a Fay tartan check coat and wayfarer shades. Johnson’s accessories game is always on point and the Givenchy chain-trimmed shoulder bag and sleek loafers were choice examples from her vast collection.
