Model and producer Jorge Wright, also known as Gitoo, is a bona fide fixture on the New York City club circuit. He’s hosted VFiles events in Paris and Ladyfag’s cult monthly “Holy Mountain” party in New York. This weekend, he brought his boisterous, carefree spirit to Afropunk’s Atlanta edition, hosting the two-day-long festival that featured performances from heavy hitters including Solange, Danny Brown, and Willow Smith alongside rising artists such as Moses Sumney.

From Gitoo’s luxe (and apparently overrated) pre-festival beauty routine to sneaking selfies onstage, he clearly took part in all that Afropunk had to offer in style. Wearing a fresh red jumpsuit that matched the stage’s red balloons one day and striped pants with a strange yet captivating graphic T-shirt the next, Gitoo wandered the festival grounds and found time in between his hosting duties to capture some of the more striking DIY looks from artists, friends, and other festivalgoers. Take a look at Afropunk Atlanta 2017 through Gitoo’s eyes, below.
