Jared Leto Makes a Case for the Man Muumuu at Gucci in Milan

It’s safe to call Jared Leto a Gucci superfan. The actor is a dedicated friend to creative director Alessandro Michele, often wearing the brand head-to-toe in the street and on the red carpet. There aren’t too many men in Hollywood who could pull off Michele’s nerdy-cool ensembles, but Leto always manages to look the part of quirky fashion muse.

Today, he experimented with genderless Gucci gear once again, attending the Fall 2019 show in Milan to cheer on Michele from the front row, wearing a floral print tunic dress layered over gray Gucci logo sweatpants. On top of the frock, Leto slipped on a hybrid scarf-hood and finished things off with a pair of purposefully dirty sneakers and colorful hot pink socks. It was normcore meets dadcore meets granny chic.

Leto, much like Michele, is a huge proponent of weaving together odd aesthetics. “Wonderfully weird” is a term best used to describe Leto’s personal style, Gucci muumuus and all, and that’s a good thing.
